Pick your destination
By far the best site to research the health risks at your destination is the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) site.
Remember, though, that when you consider what is needed to travel there, it may depend on all of those factors I have mentioned before...
- When are you going
- For how long
- Why
- Is urban or rural travel, or both
- What “style” are you travelling in
- What are you rmedical problems and medications
- What is your perception of the risks involved
Not every travel doctor or nurse thinks alike. You may get different recommendations from different sources. But, the doctor/nurse advises... the patient/traveller decides. It’s a bit up to you to arrive at the decisions.
